Fall time means it’s time to get Garlic into the ground! We are taking most of that beautiful garlic we grew last year and investing it into seeding for a larger harvest next year, enabling us to have a good quantity of both Seed and Culinary Garlic for 2022!
Our goal this year is to get 2200 heads of garlic into production. We are just thrilled with the success of the 2020 plant! We’ve had heads of Garlic that at harvest weighed over 1 pound! Amazing!
The fertile soils of the Columbia River Basin really don’t disappoint. No wonder our grandparents had great success growing Mint, and running a dairy, raising horses and cattle, along with the epic gardens our family has used for food, both fresh and preserved, for over 60 years now.
